Joshi detailed that the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) aims to achieve a target of 500 GW of installed electricity capacity from non-fossil sources by 2030, as part of commitments made at COP26. “Viksit Bharat is our aim, Urja Vikas is our mission,” said Joshi, emphasizing the government’s focus on enhancing energy security, which is one of its nine key priority areas.
