The scheme has an outlay of ₹4,136 crore and will be implemented from FY 2024-25 to FY 2031-32. It is expected to support the development of a cumulative hydro capacity of about 15,000 MW in the Northeast. The scheme will be funded through 10% gross budgetary support (GBS) allocated for the NER under the ministry of power’s total outlay.
