Power ministry proposes cut in renewable generation obligation for new power plants to 6-10% from 40%

The proposed mandate will bring down the obligation from the existing 40% to a range of 6-10%, depending on the commissioning date of the plants, the latest draft notification, issued by the ministry of power on October 6 said.
