In the third quarter (Q3) of 2024 alone, 3.5 GW of solar capacity was installed, reflecting a 28% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) decline from 4.9 GW in Q2 2024 but a 78% year-on-year (YoY) increase from 2 GW in Q3 2023. Of this, large-scale solar installations accounted for 2.8 GW, a 34% drop QoQ but a 77% rise YoY.
