State-owned NHPC forms a joint venture with Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation to develop renewable energy. The new entity, APGENCO NHPC Green Energy Limited, incorporates on January 23. Both companies hold a 50:50 equity stake, planning the integrated development of pumped storage hydro power and renewable energy projects including solar, floating solar, and wind.
