The partnership between JNCASR, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), and Hindustan Zinc, a leader in the zinc sector, is expected to address key challenges in stabilizing the performance of Zn-ion batteries, which is crucial for their commercialization.

This week Australia announced a massive solar farm that it hopes will eventually offer two gigawatts (GW) of power to Singapore via undersea cable. Singapore aims to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050, but it relies heavily on imported oil and gas.

This project enhances the company's energy solution offerings and supports its transition towards becoming an energy products and services company, it said.

"TPSSL announces its strategic collaboration with ICICI Bank to provide loans to finance the purchase of solar panels/ units for residential and corporate customers," the company said in a statement.
