Maria da Graca Carvalho said the government would announce some details of its offshore wind energy policy in July as investors await guidelines on a planned key licensing action announced last year under the previous administration.

Collaboration can enable greater participation and buy-in from stakeholders, it can funnel investments, enhance resilience by leveraging economies of scale, and strengthen policy and institutional frameworks.​

REnergy is targeting to close orders worth Rs 5,000 crore by 2029 with Rs 575 crore worth of projects already confirmed and under execution, the company said in a statement.

As per a report by the Foundation for MSME Clusters and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (FMC and GIZ, 2018), the MSME sector has a thermal energy consumption of approximately 85% and is heavily dependent on fossil fuels for its energy needs.

The recent government initiatives have played a major role in this. As of November 2023, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has approved 50 solar parks with an aggregate capacity of around 37,490 MW in 12 states across the country.

The plant will produce about 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, with a purity of about 99.999 per cent by volume. It uses electricity produced from renewable sources such as the sun's solar energy, to split water to produce green hydrogen.

Reliance (RIL) on May 21 entered into a technology licensing agreement that provides the company with an exclusive license for Nel's alkaline electrolysers in India and also allows it to manufacture the Norwegian company's alkaline electrolysers for captive purposes globally.

This surge is part of a broader addition of 15.2 GW of new power capacity during this period, with solar energy contributing a dominant 66% of these additions.

Speaking to the media, Hindalco Industries Managing Director Satish Pai said the company is not scouting for any critical mineral blocks overseas as there are a lot of blocks that have been put up for sale in India.

The latest financial figures include contributions from solar assets acquired through Virescent Renewable Energy Trust (VRET) and revenue from RSUPL for part of the quarter.
