Despite these advancements, the precise estimation of land required for solar parks by 2050 remains uncertain, given the dynamic nature of technological progress in the solar sector.

The Electricity Power Transmission Association (EPTA) has formally requested the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) to implement new transmission schemes for offshore wind farms in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode. The request comes in light of the agenda discussed during the 20th NCT Meeting held on June 25, 2024.

This system will meet the cooling and ventilation requirements of the four underground stations of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), it said. These stations -- Anand Vihar in Delhi, and Meerut Central, Bhaisali, and Begumpul in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut -- are being constructed at depths ranging between eight and 23 metres, the statement issued on Thursday said.

This loan is part of JBIC's Global Action for Reconciling Economic Growth and Environmental Preservation (GREEN) initiative, a PFC statement said.

The energy supply order has been secured by wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Neo Energy Limited, JSW Energy said, adding that the company received the letter of award following a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
