The long-term offtake agreement covers the supply of 1,00,000 tonne of renewable ammonia per annum by Acme from phase-1 of its Oman project with an expected start date in 2027, the company said.

The 'Sea Shuttle' is an ambitious project admitted under the Norwegian Government green funding programme aimed at emission-free transport solutions by adopting sustainable path breaking future technologies.

"BEE helped India to reduce its energy consumption by around 3.5 per cent, and to reduce its carbon emissions by 306 million tonnes per annum," the Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy said.

"The money is digitally transferred seamlessly on the due date and a message is received on the phone regarding the transfer. Digital technology has brought more democracy and has empowered the masses."

The project shall be commissioned within 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Torrent Power said in a statement.

The first bond, with a 10-year maturity, is valued at ₹2,500 crore and boasts a yield of 7.47%, set to mature on February 28, 2034.

"The growth was powered by the highly stable core infrastructure platform. Growing at 35.5 per cent, it generated Rs 66,208 crore (USD 8 billion) - 84 per cent of portfolio EBITDA," it said.

According to the statement, the power purchase agreement (PPA) originated from SECI's Tranche XI auction for setting up grid-connected solar projects in India conducted last year.

New Delhi has long been concerned about growing Chinese influence in the island nation, which sits near key global shipping lanes and which India considers to be within its sphere of influence.

The IEA's findings underscore the significant role of solar PV, wind, nuclear power, and electric vehicles in preventing a larger spike in fossil fuel use.
