ICRA forecasts a substantial rise in the contribution of RE, including large hydro, to India's total electricity generation, from about 23% in FY2024 to 40% by FY2030.

The projects are related to to a number of important sectors including roads, railways, coal, power and solar energy, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

The company also intends to add an additional 2 GW of renewable energy to its portfolio, aiming for a total installed capacity of 5 GW to bolster its renewable energy footprint.

Sea water electrolysis to produce green hydrogen is also a promising area of research to bring down cost of production and improve scalability.

Executed by SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), the renewable arm of SJVN, the 50 MW Gujrai Solar Power Station was constructed at a cost of Rs 281 crores.
