As India marches itself to become the 3rd largest economy and Budget 2024 preparations advance to the last mile, Corporate India is expecting with alacrity, a set of meaningful policy measures that can provide impetus to sustainable businesses with enhanced budgetary allocations.

The European Commission is set to recommend next week that the EU cuts net emissions 90% by 2040, from 1990 levels, and outline the huge upfront increase in investments needed to get Europe on track to have zero net emissions by 2050.

As part of the order, Suzlon will install 214 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW each in Andhra Pradesh, a company statement said.

During the nine-month period ending December 2023, Shakti Pump's net profit more than doubled to Rs 52.1 crores from Rs 21.9 crores in April-December 2022.

The project involves setting up a "solar photovoltaic plant in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates," the company said in a filing to BSE.

"Kunjal Mehta, presently serving as CFO within Adani Portfolio of Companies, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of the company (a key managerial personnel, categorised as senior management personnel), commencing from April 1, 2024," the company said.

"India is now the most populous country in the world and has ambitions to be the world's third-largest economy by 2030. To get there, India needs to invest in both digital and physical infrastructure, in addition to increasing its energy production, as energy consumption will be meaningfully higher," the US-based broker said.

The Chief Minister said that the state government was working with a motto to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant in the next four years and the most prosperous state in the country in 10 years.

The new 3 lakh sq feet facility is scheduled to become operational by the end of the third quarter of 2024, the company said, adding that the state-of-the-art facilities will significantly enhance Mahindra Logistics' pan-India network of multi-client warehousing networks.
