Central and Eastern Europe's top five solar producers have also expanded solar generation capacity faster than regional peers since 2019, paving the way to continued solar output growth in one of Europe's most heavily industrialized areas.

"In the study, we found that 450 MW solar power plants can be installed on both sides. We presented the study to the state government and they have approved it," Saurabh Kumar, vice-chairman of GEAPP, told PTI on Sunday.

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) has announced an ambitious plan to provide up to 100 percent solar-powered electricity to two villages in each district of the state within the next two months.

At the 'Dharavi Bachao' rally, Aaditya Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT) pledged that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) would cancel the Dharavi redevelopment project unless 500 square feet homes are provided to residents. He accused the government of favoring the Adani group over Dharavi's inhabitants. Thackeray proposed relocating residents to nearby transit camps and criticized the government for delaying assembly elections. He spoke on the increasing farmer suicides and unemployment and criticized the Mumbadevi Temple beautification project for displaced shopkeepers.

"Today, at Sri City, we paved the way for further industrial development. I inaugurated 15 industrial projects with Rs 1,570 crore investment and laid the foundation for 7 projects worth Rs 900 crore. Additionally, 5 companies signed MoUs (agreements) for Rs 1,213 crore investment today," said Naidu in a post on 'X'.
