Addressing a curtain raiser of the second International Conference on Green Hydrogen India 2024, Joshi said that there will be over 120 exhibitors in the event which is scheduled on September 11-13, 2024 in Delhi.

​The company plans to establish a 2,500 MW solar cell manufacturing facility in two phases and increase its existing solar module manufacturing capacity to 2,000 MW. This move marks a significant milestone in JEL’s efforts to scale up its solar energy solutions and contribute to India’s renewable energy goals.

The collaboration aims to leverage BAIF's expertise in agricultural practices, climate-smart farming, and agro-biodiversity conservation, combined with Tata Chemicals' strengths in advanced materials, agrochemistry, and biosciences.

The projects include the Malshej Ghat PSP (700 MW), Aruna PSP (1,950 MW), Kharari PSP (1,250 MW), Humbarli Birmani PSP (1,000 MW), Aruna Kolamb PSP (1,200 MW), and Morawadi Majarewadi PSP (690 MW). These projects are expected to significantly contribute to Maharashtra’s energy infrastructure, reinforcing the state’s renewable energy capabilities.

The announcement is expected to be made at ISA’s first international solar festival, scheduled to be held on 5-6 September in the national capital. The event will focus on catalysing global solar adoption by forging partnerships, unlocking innovative financing, deploying cutting-edge technology, and boosting capacity in ISA member countries.

This investment highlights AGEL and TotalEnergies' commitment to strengthening their collaboration and supporting India's transition to clean energy. It also demonstrates AGEL's proven ability to deliver green energy rapidly and at scale.

In an era where the world is urgently seeking answers to its energy challenges, this summit promises to be the crucible where strategies are forged, partnerships are solidified, and visions of the future are brought into sharp focus. The project, to be completed within 18 months, aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and marks a significant step towards sustainable energy. Gensol and Matrix have partnered with Westinghouse, USA, to utilize their patented Pre-Gasification Plasma Induced Radiant Energy-Based Gasification System (GH2-PREGS) technology for the project.

The company did not disclose the financial commitments it would make for the proposed joint venture. Adani Green and TotalEnergies will each own 50 per cent stake in the resultant entity.
