The fifth edition of Regional Industries Conclave was held at the Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium in Rewa district on Wednesday and Industrialists and investors from over 10 states participated in it.

​The Fund is committed to investing in early-stage companies that leverage technology to create scalable solutions for climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience accelerating India’s journey to net zero. The fund focuses on three core sectors that account for 90% of India’s carbon emissions: Energy and Resource Management, Mobility and Supply Chains, and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems.

"This MoU was done with the aim of meeting the energy needs of the state through the establishment of a long-term power project using the latest technology related to renewable energy," an official said.

This agreement is for a 700 MW solar power project, which is connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). The project was awarded under SECI Tranche XIII.

"We had some really good conversations, particularly regarding the role of developed countries, which have not yet fulfilled their responsibilities in reducing emissions, moving away from fossil fuels, and providing financing to developing countries," he said.

Over the next decade, India can take a lead in developing low-cost green technology and transferring it for the benefit of the global south, said Lindy Cameron, the UK High Commissioner to India, on Tuesday.
