The company informed the exchange in a filing on Tuesday that JSW Neo Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has received a Letter of Award for 600 MW of Wind-Solar Hybrid Power project, including 400 MW allotted under the green shoe option from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company against MSEDCL-Phase IV.

The order entails the supply and installation of 1,00,000 solar street light systems for the Bihar State Government. This latest project adds to the 80,000 solar street light systems that ITI is already executing in the state for BREDA.

The facility utilizes advanced TOPCon and Mono Perc technology, allowing for high-efficiency production. Tata Power has invested ₹4,300 crore in this state-of-the-art facility, which will contribute to the company’s goal of expanding its renewable energy portfolio, particularly in solar rooftop and utility-scale segments.

The project, approved in principle by IREDA’s Board of Directors in July 2024, will harness Nepal’s hydropower potential while contributing to regional energy cooperation and sustainability.

The project involves the installation of 370 wind turbine generators (WTGs) of the S144 model with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each, equipped with Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers.

The MoU is aimed at devising strategies for achieving net zero status for NTPC's townships and offices in Scope 2 emissions by the fiscal year 2025-26.

The project, with a capacity of up to 128 MW, falls under the Open Access Captive solar power plant segment and is estimated to cost ₹520 crore.
